Who are we ?
Blackpool Super Novas are a flyball team based in
Blackpool Lancashire. Under the umbrella of “Super Novas” there are actually
several teams, from our really
experienced teams, to beginners teams,
and still waiting in the wings are more exciting prospects who have just
started training and are eager to take their place on the long road to flyball
stardom.
Who’s who ?
The teams
have got together under the watchful eyes of Joan and Peter who compete with
their own dogs regularly, and have great patience in helping others to train
their dogs to jump the hurdles and hit the box. They work hard to co-ordinate
training and practice sessions for anyone who contacts them about the sport, as
well as keeping busy with dog training and agility classes.
The team
captain for the Super Novas is Alix, she is a real animal lover who works
tirelessly for the RSPCA, yet still finds time to send in applications for
flyball events around the country, picking the teams and making sure all goes
well on the day, keeping everyone informed, and busy with their delegated
tasks, as well as running her ever growing collection of dogs.

We hope to update
the site as fast as the teams are developing (which won’t be easy). We will be
pleased to add more links to flyball, and dog related sites as we expand, and
hope to feature some hints and tips and maybe interviews with BFA officials in
the future.

Current Desires
- Another box (or two) – with more
people joining us we desperately need more equipment
- Somewhere safe we can call home
– a nice big field to train and maybe run future sanctioned events
- More success – as our teams
develop we hope to enjoy competing and maybe winning regularly
